Construction Angels Organization Highlighted in Newest South Florida Who’s Who Publication
Sunrise, Florida (PRWEB) June 07, 2016 -- Work zones, especially highway work zones, have astonishingly high rates of accidents and work fatalities. When Kristi Ronyak was at World of Asphalt in 2008, she encountered someone asking for funds to support the family of a worker killed in a construction accident. Ronyak donated, but when she went to follow up several months later, she struggled to find the charity in question. Realizing there was an unmet need for these families, Ronyak founded Construction Angels, a group of volunteers who work to positively influence the quality of life for the spouses and children of construction workers who have been killed on jobsites. The mission of Ronyak’s group is to “provide money to help [the families] meet current bills… and get them involved with grief counselors.”
Ronyak’s background is in construction marketing, but she resigned from her job in January 2016 to focus on getting Construction Angels operating on a national level. She has branched the organization out into George and Ohio. Her goal is to create 50 state chapters in the next 10 years.
