Constructive Playthings Partners with Save the Children to Help Children in Need
Grandview, MO (PRWEB) September 09, 2013 -- Constructive Playthings - Recently, Constructive Playthings was given the opportunity to partner with Save the Children. Save the Children is a not-for-profit organization aimed towards helping families in need. Their Get Ready Get Safe initiative was launched to help communities prepare for worst-case disaster scenarios. They gather food and goods, as well as creating emergency plans and providing child care services for those in need.
Constructive Plaything, a division of US Toy Company, has long been an advocate of Save the Children. They have partnered together over the years to help serve many communities in their time of need. Recently, Constructive Playthings donated many of their toys to Save the Children so they could distribute them to those in need as a part of Get Ready Get Safe. Save the Children was able to deliver these toys to different childcare centers in New Jersey that are still suffering the effect of Hurricane Sandy, which devastated the nation during October of last year. Constructive Playthings marketing director Christie Davis said, "It's awful to think that there are still families suffering from a tragedy that happened almost a year ago. The least we could do was offer some of our products to try to help them recover."
