Consulting Magazine Honors MorganFranklin Consulting Director Melaine Amendola with ‘Rising Stars of the Profession’ Award
McLean, Virginia (PRWEB) March 10, 2015 -- Consulting magazine has named MorganFranklin Consulting Director Melaine Amendola a winner of the publication’s prestigious “Rising Stars of the Profession” Achievement Awards, which annually recognize 35 the best young talents in the consulting profession under age 35. Since 2012, Amendola has served in the Public Sector Market at MorganFranklin, a leading business consulting and technology solutions company based in McLean, Va.
Amendola is profiled in the March 2015 issue of Consulting magazine for Excellence in Client Service, in recognition of her more than 12 years of experience providing federal financial management consulting to numerous military services within the Department of Defense (DoD). The magazine spotlights all 35 award winners honored in the categories of Excellence in Client Service, Consulting Leadership, Health Care, Energy, Public Sector, Technology, Retail, and Financial Services.

Within two years of joining MorganFranklin, Amendola was promoted twice and is now a Director leading the firm’s Department of the Navy (DoN) and U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) accounts. She has extensive experience spanning all aspects of financial management accounting operations, financial statements preparation and analysis, internal controls and A-123, audit readiness, and systems support. She is deeply versed in DoD financial management and regulations, including the Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) Plan, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Amendola has worked alongside some of the highest-ranking military officials and government civilians at several commands across the U.S. Prior to joining MorganFranklin, she served for 10 years in a variety of federal consulting roles supporting DoD agencies at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Booz Allen Hamilton. She is a Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) and active member of the American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC).
