Content Writing Services Company Content For Biz Welcomes Mike Porcaro as Account Executive
Barrington, IL (PRWEB) October 28, 2013 -- Content for Biz, a B2B Internet marketing communications company specializing in content writing services, recently appointed Mike Porcaro to the position of account executive. Prior to joining Content for Biz, Porcaro served as publisher of several construction industry trade magazines including Better Roads, Aggregates Manager, Construction Equipment, Concrete Construction and Building Design & Construction.
Porcaro began working as a construction laborer during his college breaks and has been involved in the construction market ever since. His professional career includes several marketing and advertising positions with the Construction Equipment Division of manufacturer International Harvester. During his 10 years with the firm he rose to the position of worldwide marketing communications manager.
Porcaro transitioned to publishing in the early 80s and became sales manager and vice president and publisher of Construction Equipment and Building Design & Construction magazines (Reed Business Information) moving on to the position of Construction Group Publisher for The Aberdeen Group (now Hanley-Wood) as well as for Newport Communications (Heavy Duty Trucking).
He co-founded and co-owned James Informational Media Inc. (Better Roads and Aggregates Manager magazines), where he served as president and publisher. In 2007, the magazines were sold to Randall-Reilly where Porcaro remained as executive publisher through 2012.
Porcaro’s expertise in developing and managing construction-related communications projects is driving growth for Content For Biz, which specializes in content writing services for construction, foodservice and transportation companies. “Mike’s knowledge of both the construction and publishing industries amplify his skill as a content writer and project manager. Such talent is very much in demand amongst B2B companies,” said Content For Biz Co-founder Mary Klest.
Currently acting as project manager for the Quality of Life public relations campaign of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, Porcaro has also taken on the role of Executive Director for the inaugural Site Prep Tech conference in Atlanta on Nov 6-7th.
“You can’t walk into a room of construction professionals and not find someone who knows, trusts and wants to work with Mike. We are happy to attract such talent to our company,” said Content For Biz Co-founder Joanne Costin.
Porcaro traces his long-time enthusiasm for construction communications projects to those early years as a laborer. He worked for contractors for four years while attending Southern Illinois University at Carbondale earning a degree in Journalism with an Advertising concentration. He later obtained a Master of Science degree in Marketing from Roosevelt University.
“I love the entrepreneurial environment of Content For Biz. They are leading the way for companies seeking creative content solutions. We employ journalistic, marketing and publishing capabilities to every project,” says Porcaro.
