SANTA MONICA, Calif. (PRWEB) January 27, 2018 -- CONVRG announced a line-up of voice-activated and chatbot offerings that will coincide with this year's 60th GRAMMY Awards®.
Including chatbots on GRAMMY.com, Facebook Messenger and Kik, as well as voice experiences on Google Home, CONVRG provides the Recording Academy the opportunity to focus on conversational fan engagement in a creative way that resonates with fans as technology changes.
With the Academy reporting that traffic from mobile devices to its website, GRAMMY.com, is reaching upward of 70 percent, this product launch is a natural next step in the digital evolution of the organization.
"Last year, we realized that fans of the Recording Academy and the GRAMMY Awards® are spending more time on their mobile devices than ever before, particularly in messaging apps," said Jason James, Chief Digital Officer of the Recording Academy. "In addition, with Google's introduction of Assistant and the Google Home device, we predicted that voice as a user interface would soon become ubiquitous. As such, we made the pivotal decision to augment our digital efforts with chatbots and voice experiences that enable the consumer to interact with the GRAMMY brand in a conversational way."
By chatting with the GRAMMY chatbots on GRAMMY.com, Facebook Messenger, and Kik, users can learn about the Recording Academy and its various organizational pillars; play "For the Record," a music trivia game; and get quick information and updates on the annual awards program.
Additionally, by invoking the GRAMMY voice experiences on Google Home ("Hey Google, talk to GRAMMYs"), users can get daily music news and Recording Academy updates, hear inspirational quotes from prominent recording artists, and play the voice edition of "For the Record," with more experiences slated for later in the year.
Built with the aid of Los Angeles-based technology provider CONVRG, the bot and voice experiences will be powered by intelligent data modeling.
"What's unique about these experiences is the degree of personalization they offer. It's as though people can now have one-on-one conversations with our brand. And we're just getting started!" adds James.
