Corepoint Health’s Corepoint Integration Engine Earns ONC Health IT Certification from Drummond Group LLC
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) June 14, 2016 -- Corepoint Health’s Corepoint Integration Engine has achieved Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC-Health IT) 2014 Edition Health IT Module Certification for the 2016.1 version of the software via Drummond Group LLC, an Authorized Certification Body (ACB) that has been empowered to test software for compliance with the requirements of the federal government’s program. The stamp of approval designates that the software offers the functionality that enables eligible providers and hospitals to meet Meaningful Use requirements, qualifying these organizations to receive payments under the ongoing EHR adoption program.
To earn the certification, Corepoint Integration Engine was tested to be in accordance with applicable standards and certification criteria put forth by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
With more than 15 years of testing experience across various industries, Drummond Group LLC (DG) brings a high level of technical expertise to this process. Its healthcare experience also runs deep, having certified hundreds of EHRs since becoming an ACB in 2010.
Corepoint Integration Engine, which met the requirements for Modular Ambulatory EHR and Modular Inpatient EHR certification, was the first integration engine to receive Meaningful Use certification in 2011 and continues to lead in delivering interoperability confidence for the healthcare market.

This Modular Ambulatory EHR certification and Modular Inpatient EHR certification is 2014 Edition compliant and has been certified by an ONC-ATCB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services or guarantee the receipt of incentive payments.

Costs and limitations include:
•Receiving, incorporating, creating, and transmitting Summary of Care documents in support of Transition of Care requirements (170.314.b.1, 170.314.b.2). For the purposes of achieving Meaningful Use, either the Direct protocol or Web Services must be used. A separate one-time license fee is required for the Direct or Web Services product extensions.
•Public health reporting for immunization registries, electronic lab reporting, and syndromic surveillance. (170.314.f.2, 170.314.f.3, 170.314.f.4). For the purposes of achieving Meaningful Use, each state requires different protocols for interfacing. If a state requires FTP, the Direct protocol, or Web Services, a separate one-time license fee is required for these product extensions.
•Transmission of electronic laboratory test results to ambulatory providers (170.314.b.6). For the purposes of achieving Meaningful Use, each ambulatory EHR has different interfacing requirements. If the EHR has interfacing requirements other than TCP, a separate one-time license fee is required for the applicable product extension.
All of these interfaces require configuration and testing to ensure the interfaces are working correctly. Many customers choose to configure, test, and map the interfaces themselves. At the customer’s request, Corepoint Health can assist with implementation of the interfaces based on a professional services agreement. Corepoint Health professional services is not required.
One extension license fee covers all interfaces on the server. Interfaces also require a licensed connection which is a one-time license fee. Every connection to a public health agency or provider requires a licensed connection.
Typically for Meaningful Use, Corepoint Integration Engine requires the EHR to actually create the messages and documents that are being delivered.
