Cornell Launches RedShift, Making Ivy League Executive Education Accessible to Business Leaders
Ithaca, New York (PRWEB) November 19, 2013 -- Cornell University’s online learning subsidiary, eCornell, announced today the launch of RedShift, an innovative program for teams of sales and marketing professionals combining on-demand, MBA-level online courses from Cornell University with real world projects, 1-on-1 coaching and access to mentors and advisors from the global Cornell network. This is the first program to make Ivy League executive education accessible across organizations.
“Access is the cornerstone of building a culture of learning and growth inside organizations. Yet providing the right internal opportunities, at the right time, isn’t always possible or affordable,” said Chris Proulx, eCornell's Chief Executive Officer. “With RedShift, organizations can now bring targeted, Ivy League training to all employees for a sustainable price. Our application-based learning model also ensures accountability, tying development opportunities to on-the-job results.”
Redshift starts at $40 per user, per month, and teams of 20 or more get unlimited access to the RedShift course collection. RedShift participants can choose to take individual courses or the entire Professional Certificate curriculum program.
The Redshift collection covers business strategy, sales growth, marketing, project management, management reporting, and leadership development. Courses are completely online, saving time and expenses while allowing employees to learn when and where they need to. They also include application-based projects, providing practice linking theories to current organizational challenges. Redshift’s discussion boards, polls, surveys, and e-portfolios also allow employees to connect with and get feedback from professionals outside their organizations.
“Content-wise, access-wise, eCornell courses are as good, if not better, than the in-person experience,” Mark Delisi, Director of Corporate Responsibility at Computer Sciences Corp., said. “The courses clearly add value; they're helping our executives and senior-level people do their jobs better.”
For learning and development executives, RedShift provides a highly scalable and sustainable solution for building organizational expertise from within. Each annual license includes:
• Unlimited, online course access
• Project-based assignments
• Unlimited access to experts for feedback
• Ability to earn unlimited Cornell University certificates and badges
• Access to 45 courses and 200+ topics on leadership, marketing, strategy, sales, and project execution
• Peer-to-peer reviews, discussion, and knowledge sharing
• 100% hosted, SaaS environment
• User and administrative reporting
• Learning Management System (LMS) integration via SCORM
• Single Sign-on (SSO) via SAML
The launch of Redshift from eCornell also provides a much sought-after alternative to MOOCs – massive open online courses – that fills a gap in the online corporate learning world by leveraging a 1-on-1 level of interaction between student and mentor while leveraging MBA-level content from Cornell University.
Redshift courses are designed by faculty members from Cornell University’s internationally recognized S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management, School of Hotel Administration, ILR School, and College of Engineering.
