Cornerstone Community Church Moms’ Group Invites Temecula Valley Mothers to Open Meeting Featuring Speaker Stephanie Becerra
Wildomar, Ca (PRWEB) October 23, 2015 -- The mom2mom group at Cornerstone Community Church in Wildomar has announced that they will be opening up their November 5th, 2015 meeting to all mothers in the Temecula Valley. The meeting will feature speaker and author Stephanie Becerra. Ms. Becerra is the author of the recently released book “Revolutionary: Women Who Dared to Say Yes.” Her talk will focus on helping women find their identity and discover who they were created to be.
mom2mom, a group made up of mothers from around the valley with young children, meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month from September through May. At a typical meeting, women will enjoy breakfast together, hear a speaker or do a craft, and engage in small group discussion. Past mom2mom meetings have consisted of a talk by marriage and family therapist Elaine Wilkins, who spoke on sibling rivalry, and a concert by children’s musician Jana Alayra.
The group also meets for monthly play dates and local outings suitable for mothers and their small children. Past events have included a trip to a Peltzer Farms in Wine Country, as well as a play session at Child’s Play in Temecula. In addition, mom2mom hosts regular “Moms’ Night Out” events, allowing moms to connect with one another in various relaxed and fun settings.
Bridget LaPointe, Women’s Ministry Director at Cornerstone Community Church said, “We are excited to be opening up our mom2mom program to other moms in the community! mom2mom is a place where moms with young children can meet other moms who are at the same stage in life, and be encouraged and supported as they go through tough times. I’ve seen so many women come into mom2mom meetings looking tired, defeated and alone, but they leave with a smile and a heart that’s been filled with encouraging words from our speakers and other moms.”
mom2mom is just one of the groups at Cornerstone that seeks to connect women in the area to one another. Other groups and events geared toward women include the Hiker Chicks group, health and wellness classes, small group Bible studies, and weekend retreats. The November 5th mom2mom meeting begins at 9:30 AM and will end at 11:30 AM. It will be held in Cornerstone’s Small Church building. The cost to attend is $6 per person, which includes a hot breakfast. Childcare is available for a fee of $5 for the first child, $4 for the second child, and $3 for the third.
