Corporate Chaplains of America Names Preston Parrish Chief Executive Officer
Raleigh, North Carolina (PRWEB) December 30, 2013 -- Corporate Chaplains of America (CCA), officially announced today that the company’s Board of Directors has unanimously appointed Preston Parrish, formerly of Billy Graham Evangelistic Association to succeed Dr. Mark Cress as Chief Executive Officer.
In its search for a new CEO, the search committee and Board were very strategic about finding the right person and sought a candidate who could build on the foundation of what God had done at Corporate Chaplains of America with a passion for the Great Commission.
“Corporate Chaplains of America’s board of directors is responsible for ensuring the continuity of the organization’s senior leadership and that the executive team possesses the experience, skills and character to achieve the ministry’s goals. With today’s announcement, we enable a smooth transition to a proven executive in evangelical ministry leadership in Preston Parrish, while providing for ongoing executive guidance and Board-level leadership from Mark Cress. We have the highest degree of confidence that Preston’s ability to set strategy, lead large teams and drive ministry growth at scale will carry the Good News of Jesus Christ for years to come in the greatest mission field around the world, the workplace,” said Dr. Garheng Kong, a presiding Director of Corporate Chaplains of America and its Search Committee’s chairman.
For over 20 years of his professional career, Preston has been involved in evangelical ministry leadership roles with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse. In each, he provided leadership, guidance and support for national and international grassroots relational evangelism. His responsibilities included all aspects of mission/vision planning and execution, operational/administrative management, and leadership transition.
At Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Preston has held a variety of leadership positions, including Special Assistant to the CEO (Franklin Graham) and Executive Vice President. Most recently he was responsible for organizational and growth initiatives for the ministry, including the development and implementation of the “My Hope America with Billy Graham” campaign. Under his stewardship, “My Hope America with Billy Graham” recently mobilized over 26,000 churches across America to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
“It is a great privilege and honor to be prayerfully selected by the board to lead Corporate Chaplains of America at this very important moment in the ministry’s history and into an exciting new era. Corporate Chaplains of America’s clear mission and focus on execution in developing a powerful platform for sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ has established us as a leader in corporate chaplaincy and the workplace ministry movement. CCA is at a point where it is poised to greatly expand its growing reach and impact for our Lord and I look forward to working with our executive team and our employees in building on Corporate Chaplains of America’s success for years to come,” said Preston Parrish.
In his role as Chairman of the Board, Dr. Cress helped guide Corporate Chaplains of America future strategies and direction. “It has been an honor to serve God and this organization as Corporate Chaplains of America’s Founder and CEO for the past 18 years, and to work with the finest corporate chaplains, employees and leadership team in ministry,” said Mark Cress. “With a proven record of leadership, a love for the Lord and an ability to grow evangelical ministries, Preston is uniquely qualified to lead Corporate Chaplains of America to the next level in sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ in the marketplace. I am confident that under his leadership, Corporate Chaplains of America will continue to expand its ministry and deliver the very finest chaplain program to its corporate partners.”
