Corporate Renaissance Group Celebrates 25 Years of Business Success

To celebrate this milestone, CRGroup hosted a reception on Thursday evening at the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club. “We would like to thank our clients, partners, colleagues and friends for their patronage over the past 25 years,” said the company’s founder and president, Dr. Vijay Jog. Jog, who is also a Chancellor Professor at Carleton University's Sprott School of Business, founded the company under the name of PC Edge in 1989.
Among the distinguished guests at the celebration were Mayor Jim Watson and Ward 9 Councillor Keith Egli. During the event, Mayor Watson presented an anniversary certificate to CRGroup on behalf of the City of Ottawa, congratulating all of the employees, past and present, for making the company what it is today. Dr. Jog was also recognized for his vision and leadership over the past 25 years. “It is wonderful to see a local company grow to achieve such success on both a local and global scale,” said Watson.
“In the beginning it was literally a basement start-up with three employees working out of their homes," remembers Jog. Since then, the management consulting firm has provided thought leadership, knowledge and expertise to over 4000 organizations. Today the business is global in reach with offices in Canada, the United States, India and South Africa.
“Our business has changed with time, however our vision has remained constant,” said Jog. “We have always been, and continue to be, committed to delivering practical and cost-effective solutions that exceed expectations, through thought leadership and innovation.”
To further commemorate this milestone CRGroup made a cash donation to the Ottawa Network for Education (ONFE). “This local initiative focuses on several themes that the CRGroup team is particularly passionate about including education, technology and business,” said Jog. “So, to coincide with our silver anniversary and to support the work of ONFE, we are pleased to make a donation celebrating 25 years of operation.”
ONFE’s President and CEO Kathryn McKinlay was present at Thursday’s festivities and was happy to accept the donation which will be put towards programs including Junior Achievement and TechU.me. The ONFE is a hub for education, business and community partners committed to helping Ottawa students reach their full potential. By facilitating dialogue, collaborative planning and action, ONFE leverages the strengths in the community today to ensure that students will be prepared for tomorrow.
