Corporate Whistleblower Center Urges Insiders At Food Companies Providing Federal Government With Tainted Food Products to Call Them About Whistleblower Programs
(PRWEB) December 19, 2013 -- The Corporate Whistleblower Center says, “We have seen a growing number of whistleblowers from companies that provide food to the government, whether they federally fund school lunch programs or other government organizations, to come forward and report a wide range of potentially fraudulent activities. We recommend those who work for food service providers, that are potentially over billing the government or providing tainted food, to contact us at: 866-714-6466 to discuss whistleblower reward programs.”
An example of this is illustrated by a recent high-profile lawsuit against Westland/Hallmark, the country’s second largest supplier of ground beef to federal school lunch programs. The scandal includes a law suit from the Humane Society who allege that Westland/Hallmark slaughter facilities violated their terms of contract pertaining to humane treatment of animals.
However, undercover whistleblower videos show otherwise. The lawsuit is seeking to recover taxpayer funds spent on the potentially inhumanely produced and tainted beef. The final judgment against Westland/Hallmark was $155 million. Additionally, the principal owners and investors of the company agreed to forfeit their remaining assets, which amounted to just over $3 million. http://CorporateWhistleblowerCenter.Com
The Corporate Whistleblower Center says, "It is almost impossible to list the number of food services the federal government provides for our military, schools, and other agencies, most of which is provided by private contractors. If you work for a private contractor providing defective or tainted food, or food services that involve over billing or fraud, we want you to call us at 866-714-6466 about federal whistleblower programs. Our only proviso is the potential whistleblower's information must involve fraud, or overbilling that exceeds one million dollars.” http://CorporateWhistleblowerCenter.Com
Simple rules for a whistleblower from the Corporate Whistleblower Center:
- Do not go to the government first if you are a major whistleblower. The Corporate Whistleblower Center says, “Major whistleblowers frequently go to the federal government thinking they will help. It’s a mistake.”
- Do not go to the news media with your whistleblower information. Public revelation of a whistleblower’s information could destroy any prospect for a reward.
- Do not try to force a government contractor, or corporation to come clean to the government about their wrongdoing. The Corporate Whistleblower Center says, “Fraud is so rampant among federal contractors that any suggestion of exposure might result in an instant job termination, or harassment of the whistleblower. Come to us first, tell us what type of information you have, and if we think it’s sufficient, we will help find the right law firms to assist in advancing your information.”
Any type of insider or employee who possesses significant proof of their employer or a government contractor defrauding the federal government is encouraged to contact to Corporate Whistleblower Center anytime at 866-714-6466 or via their web site at http://CorporateWhistleblowerCenter.Com
