Corra Group Adds New Employment Screening Drug Test Solutions for Clients in Every Industry
El Segundo, CA (PRWEB) March 30, 2015 -- Corra Group is continuing to add a wider range of drug tests to accommodate the needs of every industry that requires this form of background check. As employers face compliance mandates or seek new ways to increase productivity and cut down on workplace accidents, Corra Group is adding new drug panels that will help detect substance abuse with a wide range of drugs.
“Certain industries have mandated drug tests,” said Corra Group Co-Founder, Gordon Basichis. “The Healthcare Industry, for example has compulsory drug tests, ranging from the more straightforward ten panel drug test to the more advanced twelve panel drug test that can include such drugs as Demerol and Oxycodone. In many situations job applicants must submit to these drug tests and then take go for repeated drug tests on a periodic basis.
“There is also the requisite DOT Drug Testing,” said Basichis. “Department of Transportation compliant trucking firms must provide drug testing for their drivers as part of the pre-employment screening process and then for specific purposes, including random drug testing, post-accident, and reasonable suspicions.
Basichis pointed out that any small business Information Technology companies, when doing work for the larger corporate entities, are also mandated to submit their employees to drug tests. In these instances, he noted, often the IT employees work remotely and are spread out around the country.
“Corra Group now provides just about every type of drug test and has expanded its drug collection sites,” said Basichis. “Employers throughout the United State, and especially employers with candidates working remotely, now have easy access to drug testing facilities.”
Basichis pointed out that in addition to the more common urine testing, Corra Group now provides hair drug tests.
“Hair drug testing is becoming increasingly popular,” said Basichis. “It is a bit more costly, but more effective as drugs can be retrieved from hair samples as far back as ninety days. We have clients who worry that their employees are using methamphetamine, which can be a danger on many levels. The hair drug test we provide enables a better chance for detection.
“Few would doubt that liability issues are greater when your workplace is populated by employees engaged in substance abuse,” said Basichis. “And then there is the matter of productivity where it doesn’t take much to realize employees are not at their best when drunk or stoned on the job.
“Is drug testing for every employer?” asked Basichis. “I would have to say no. But in situations where drug testing is compulsory, or where employers are trying to reduce insurance and liability claims through the reduction of workplace accidents, drug tests as a background check could be very useful. Corra Group can provide just about every type of drug test. With some of our clients, once they did institute drug testing as part of their employment screening program, they were surprised by the results. Unfortunately, in some cases, it was an unpleasant surprise.
