Corra Group Attends the Annual NAPBS Convention, in Desert Springs, California
El Segundo, CA (PRWEB) September 27, 2016 -- Corra Group recently attended the Annual Convention for the National Association for Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS), in Palm Desert, California. The trade show brings together thousands of consumer reporting agencies, vendors, software providers, and researches from around the world.
“This year was a terrific show,” said Corra Group Co-Founder, Nick Gustavson. “We had a chance to meet with old friends and find new sources that are critical to employment screening both domestically and around the world. Of course, with the variety of seminars, we can remain current on FCRA regulations and the different laws governing employment screening on the federal and state level.
“The NAPBS gives a sense of the status of our business, overall,” said Gustavson. “Many of us share information and exchange ideas that can help each other out. It is, as industries go, a small industry and after a while you get to know everyone in the business.”
Gustavson noted that the El Segundo, California based Corra Group provides a dynamic range of background searches to a variety of industries. He pointed out that the NAPBS is the only place where within a few short days he can source and compare any number of vendors.
“We are always reviewing new researchers,” said Gustavson. “We may not need them now, but we always want to be prepared to deliver the best services to our clients, both nationally and globally. We also review the new updates in the various software platforms so that we have a better idea how advancing technology will facilitate background checks in the near future. As with many industries, there are new demands and constant changes.
“Among the sessions we attended, we were there for the Deverus presentation and were pleased by the new software updates and applications that will soon be coming online,” said Gustavson. “Anything we can utilize to better facilitate our client services can make a big difference in our order flow.
Gustavson noted that the general feel of this year’s NAPBS was upbeat and optimistic. Both he and business partner, Gordon Basichis, thought the attendees overall were highly energized and happy for the camaraderie and shared experience.
“Palm Desert is quite beautiful and always a great place to be,” said Gustavson. “Better still, this NAPBS Convention was only a two-hour drive from our offices in Los Angeles.
