Cosmetic Surgeon Dr. Husni Honored with FACS Certification for Excellent Medical Practices
INDEPENDENCE, Ohio (PRWEB) December 21, 2015 -- Dr. Nicholas Husni was recently initiated as a fellow into the American College of Surgeons (ACS), which is the highest honor for surgeons in the United States. The letters FACS (Fellow, American College of Surgeons) will now follow Dr. Husni's name, which signifies his continued achievement of ethical, safe and up-to-date medical care.
Dr. Husni, a board-certified plastic surgeon heading the Neo Aesthetic Institute in Independence, OH, received the award because his medical competence, ethical practice, education and professional qualifications have passed intensive evaluations, and his practice has matched or exceeded the College’s expectations. The American College of Surgeons was founded in 1903 and exists to safeguard the medical and ethical care of all surgical patients.

Along with the FACS Certification, Dr. Husni is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABMS). He has also completed a fellowship with The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Aesthetic and Breast Surgery.
Currently, Dr. Husni is an attending cosmetic surgeon in the Department of Plastic Surgery at The Cleveland Clinic Health Systems Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights and at the Marymount Hospital in Garfield Heights.
Dr. Husni graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston College. He then attended Boston University School of Medicine, graduating in 1999 with an MD and Ph.D. in Pathology. He went on to do his residency at Lahey Clinic Medical Center (the most competitive Integrated Plastic Surgery/General Surgery Residency). He then came to Cleveland to work at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where he completed his fellowship in Aesthetic and Breast Surgery. He has been a plastic surgeon and certified to practice in Ohio since 2005.
