Cowlin Insurance Agency and the Childhood Cancer Family Connection of Ohio Continue Joint Charity Drive to Benefit Local Families
Columbus, OH (PRWEB) February 12, 2016 -- Cowlin Insurance Agency, a locally owned insurance firm that serves Reynoldsburg, Sunbury, and other communities in the Columbus area, has teamed up with the Childhood Cancer Family Connection of Ohio in a charity drive aimed at providing support and assistance to the families of local children who have been diagnosed with cancer.
Formerly known as Kids ‘n Kamp, the Childhood Cancer Family Connection has been hosting a weekend summer camp program for children with cancer since 1982. While the CCFC has grown significantly since then, the organization continues to provide completely free, community-driven assistance to local children battling cancer, and remains a source of strength and inspiration for many families in the area.
“The CCFC has been providing for children with cancer and their families for a generation, and we want to make sure they are fully able to continue their work,” says Chris Cowlin, founder and manager of Cowlin Insurance Agency.
To publicize the charity drive, Cowlin and his team have already constructed an online social media portal and are reaching out to local community leaders online and via email to help organize support. As well, Cowlin Insurance will be producing a full page feature of the CCFC charity effort in the upcoming edition of “Our Hometown,” a monthly online circular published by the Cowlin Agency.
Cowlin and his team have further committed to an ongoing community improvement effort that will include working with at least one new Ohio-based charity every sixty days in the months ahead.
