Craft & Hobby Association (CHA), Edible Artists Network Create Sweet Synergy with New Edible Arts Pavilion at 2017 CHA Trade Show
Elmwood Park, New Jersey (PRWEB) July 29, 2016 -- The Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) in partnership with Edible Artists Network announces the addition of a new Edible Arts Pavilion at the 76th Annual CHA Conference & Trade Show, the creative destination for the thriving global creative community, taking place January 19-23, 2017 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona. The partnership expands the emerging product categories that will be represented at the Craft & Hobby Association’s redefined trade show, which will open on Saturday, January 21, 2017.
The Edible Arts Pavilion will feature sugar art suppliers’ demonstrations where attendees can make edible artworks, such as scrapbook cookies and painted cakes, learn everything from entry level to advanced techniques, and exchange ideas that will inspire bakers and consumers alike. The new show area will also showcase edible art by famous cake and sugar artists and designers. Among them are Michelle Curran aka “Chef Mitchie” who has appeared on Sugar Dome, Cake Wars and Caketastrophe, and Becky Rink who has competed on nationally televised programs such as We TV’s Wedding Cake Wars, TLC’s Ultimate Cake Off and Halloween Wars on the Food Network.
“These two industries have so much synergy and we are pleased to have the opportunity to bring them together. The result will be a creative explosion that will revitalize and energize both industries,” said Cheryl Naughton, publisher of Edible Artists Network Magazine.
“We are extremely excited to partner with the Edible Artists Network to introduce an edible arts featured area on the Show floor and expanded education. Interest in edible arts is growing by leaps and bounds and now is the perfect time for us to spotlight this segment,” said Nidia Negron, Director of Education, Craft & Hobby Association.
Badge registration will open August 16, 2016. Conference registration will open on September 13, 2016. For more information about attending or exhibiting at the 76th Annual CHA Conference & Trade Show, please visit http://www.chamegashow.org.
