Craig Middleton pens fantasy fiction of epic proportions
VICTORIA, Australia (PRWEB) October 01, 2014 -- The impulse to write as with many writers was spontaneous for first time author Craig Middleton. Out of nowhere, he got the urge to inspire children and older people with fantasy. His idea being: What if musical notes could contain a deep and powerful magic, which if truly understood, could wield great good or evil. Curled up in bed shaking with fear and cold, Rachel’s world looked like it was about to fall apart. The British Isles were in the grip of the Second World War and the streets in which she played were a pile of rubble. Her parents were glad to see the back of her and so it seemed like a pleasant dream when she had arrived in the Welsh village of Llanagog and was rescued by Lavender Jones.
Rachel has only just escaped the Nazi bombings of London when she arrives in Llanagog and stumbles across a mystical dragon called Charlotte. The local land owner Cunningham Leeks is set to destroy Charlotte as she stands in his road. Rachel is soon caught up in a battle of good versus evil that will not only change the course of life for all in Llanagog but may change the course of the entire war.
“I think 'Mysteries of Llanagog' is unique. I spent many hours researching about dragon legends, spy organizations, strange inventions and other materials before combining facts with fiction. The characters in the story are three dimensional so that you actually find yourself caring for what happens. It is a fast-paced story that engages the reader,” the author said.

Born in 1964 in a small town near London, Craig Middleton would escape the stresses of home and school life by taking off into the woods to build camps and explore. He became interested in cooking, at first just to earn pocket money then later as a career and a creative outlet. After working in a couple of local kitchens, the bright lights of London called. Here he received his first formal training. The kitchens of Mayfair, Belgravia, Soho and London held many adventures and highlights. Having conquered this field, Middleton felt he needed new adventures. He headed to Australia where he has been living happily since 1991. The impulse to write as with many writers was spawned by a desire to inspire his children. That is why Rachel is a central figure in this particular book.
