As part of the development, Craters & Freighters recently announced a sustainable initiative across the globe partnering with Arbor Day Foundation and Trees for the Future. Gary McKinley, Owner of Craters & Freighters SW Florida, brainstormed with wife and Co-Owner, Evelyn McKinley, the idea that Craters & Freighters would plant a tree for every crate we build. Gary stated “It’s very important to give back, to help reduce climate change and create environmental solutions that benefit people and our communities.” Since its implementation on August 1st, 2015 Craters & Freighters has already planted 7,500 trees.
