“The divorce rate in this country has nearly doubled since 1960,” says Miller, who has been married for nearly 50 years. “This book speaks to a wide-range of women. “Creating a Haven of Peace” leads readers through challenging questions about where they are and where they want to be, tips and advice on how to improve their marriage and home, and personal stories and examples of how to create an atmosphere of peace and love in spite of circumstances or bank account.
No matter the circumstances – financial, family history, job security – women who feel lost can create a haven of peace by taking purposeful actions: Making time, working to regain romance, finding common interests, finding new friends, learning to touch, playing games together, finding oneself, keeping a sense of humor, are all “intentional” actions Miller describes in “Creating a Haven of Peace.”
