Creativation, CHA’s New Creative Destination
Elmwood Park, New Jersey (PRWEB) August 09, 2016 -- The Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) has revealed the rebranding of its annual creative industry event as Creativation, (formerly the CHA MEGA Conference & Trade Show). The rebrand follows the Association’s announcement of the event’s move to Phoenix, AZ, and signifies a redefined event with new programs, participants and partners.
The name, Creativation, represents the extraordinary scope of the premier North American creative industry event: creativity, education, innovation, inspiration, collaboration and an exciting destination.
“Creativation is the place where the global creative products community of manufacturers, retailers, designers, makers, emerging businesses, influencers, bloggers and creative professionals come together to learn, connect and discover,” notes Maureen Walsh, Vice President of Membership and Marketing, CHA. “The future of the creative arts industry is bright and Creativation leads the way in showcasing the achievements, innovations, opportunities and importance of our industry.”
CHA continues to provide research-based value to the creative arts product industry with consumer insights and trend information delivered at Creativation. The keynote for 2017 unveils the long-awaited 2016 Creative Products Size of the Industry Study, providing the size of the creative products opportunity, spending patterns of crafters, their demographic profiles and the attitudes they have toward their creative activities.
Along with the show name change, CHA is launching a completely original event with brand new programs, learning opportunities, fresh networking events and a focus on innovation, collaboration and the entrepreneur.
“Creativation is our bright and vibrant city, the capital of the creative products industry. Make no mistake, in January 2017, the heart of creativity is here,” says Andria LaJeunesse, Director of Expositions and Events, CHA.
Attendees will discover never-before seen ideas, trends, methods, techniques and devices through new hands-on and interactive displays. Innovators will participate in a pitch contest. Participants will experience the power of creative collaboration as sewing and technology collide in CHA’s Makerspace, and find inspiration in iDiscover Chats.
Beginning in 2017, Creativation will spotlight a major segment of the creative industries each year, starting with sewing and fabric. Key exhibitors and buyers from the fabric and needle arts communities are planning to be front and center when Creativation opens!
CHA University is the new mecca of education offering training and insights, inspiration and new ways to turn ideas into actions in seminars and workshops presented by the latest high-demand speakers. Workshops focus on today’s most popular techniques and projects including fabric painting, home décor, fashion and more.
Creativation takes place January 19-23, 2017 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, AZ. Badge registration opens August 16, 2016. Conference registration opens September 13, 2016. For more information, visit http://www.CreativationShow.org.
