Creative Safety Supply Announces Academic Scholarship Competition for College Students
Beaverton, OR (PRWEB) August 08, 2016 -- Creative Safety Supply, a retailer of safety and lean manufacturing products for the workplace, has created a new scholarship program. The program will award a $1,000 scholarship to a student with a good academic record who is enrolled in a university, college or technical program in the United States. The scholarship funds will be sent to the student’s school so they can be used for educational expenses during 2017.
“Higher education costs a lot of money. We wanted to create a scholarship to help students pursue their educations,” Ben Geck, partner at Creative Safety Supply, said. “At Creative Safety Supply, our mission is to help businesses achieve their safety and efficiency goals, and this scholarship seemed like a great way for us to help students achieve their goals, too.”
To be eligible for Creative Safety Supply’s scholarship, students must be U.S. citizens, be enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. As part of their applications, students must also answer two short essay questions, including a question about how creative thinking has helped them achieve academic or personal success. Creative Safety Supply believes in the importance of using creative thinking to solve workplace safety challenges and wants to foster this type of thinking and learning in the next generation of students who will enter the workforce.

The scholarship deadline for this year is December 15, 2016. The winner will be notified by the end of January 2017.
