Criterion Networks Announces ISO 17025 Accreditation for Its ONF Authorized SDN Test Lab
Bangalore (PRWEB) July 27, 2015 -- Criterion Network Labs (CNLabs), one of the Open Networking Foundation’s six approved SDN conformance and interoperability testing facilities, was awarded the certification of accreditation to be compliant with the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard. The accreditation is recognized internationally as a reliable indicator of technical competence of the lab and personnel. Customers can be confident that their products are tested against industry accepted criteria using methods which objectively determine the products’ compliance and reliability.
By this milestone, CNLabs reaches a benchmark that all ONF authorized testing labs are required to reach in the first three years of operation. Factors assessed by the accreditation bodies include technical competence of staff, validity of test methods, measurement traceability, maintenance of test equipment, testing environment, handling of test items and quality assurance of test data. The ISO 17025 accreditation was awarded by the National Board of Accreditation for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), the authorized body for testing and calibration laboratories in India and an International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) signatory.
“We are very proud to announce the ISO 17025 accreditation of our lab today. At Criterion Network Labs, we emphasize on quality, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. Getting our lab formally accredited as an ISO 17025 facility is another way for us to stand by the commitment on quality to our global customers,” said Jayaprakash Kumar, Director at CNLabs and Vice Chair of the Open Networking Foundation’s Testing and Interoperability Project.
“CNLabs’ ISO 17025 accreditation for OpenFlow™ test methods is a significant achievement, and it showcases the quality programs that are spearheaded by ONF and our authorized testing labs. Since on-boarding as an ONF member last year, Criterion Networks has taken active leadership on various fronts, including organizing the Open SDN India event earlier this year, contributing to OpenFlow™ 1.3 conformance test spec development and ONF initiatives such as Atrium. We look forward to CNLabs’ continued contributions to ONF and the OpenFlow™ Conformance Testing Program,” said Dan Pitt, executive director of the Open Networking Foundation.
CNLabs is a vendor-neutral interoperability test lab from Criterion Networks, a leading provider of Open SDN based deployment solutions, system integration and consulting services for Operators and Enterprises. The lab offers conformance, interoperability and benchmarking test programs in SDN, Cloud and M2M domains. Other than interoperability programs for switches, controllers and applications in the SDN space, CNLabs recently added NFV-focused testing and OpenStack interoperability to its test programs. Criterion Network Labs also undertakes independent testing, verification and assessment of network products and solutions.
