The 7000 Series offer both residual and absolute noise measurements from 5 MHz to 30 GHz, providing operation with either internal or external reference sources and measurements from 0.1 Hz to 50 MHz frequency offset.
Our analysis time only takes a few minutes, leapfrogging traditional testing hardware and techniques by an order of magnitude. This improvement in throughput is critical when evaluating RF and microwave signal sources such as crystal oscillators, PLL synthesizers, clocks, phase-locked VCOs, and DROs in production environments. Additionally, using cross-correlation measurements and self-calibration, the 7000 Series Phase Noise Test systems obtain reproducible measurements even under changing environmental conditions. Automated frequency acquisition and self-calibration routines simplify use.
The 7000 Series Phase Noise Testers are complete instruments that use either internal or external references with a two-channel cross-correlation engine for maximum dynamic range. This technique enables a user under many conditions to manage a simple interface and perform single-click measurement. Operation and installation requires minimal training and can be done within minutes.
Powerful software and graphical user interface (GUI) allows easy access to all the measurement capabilities and combines fast measurements with a broad range of post-processing features. The 7000 Series is available with LAN (VXI-11), USBTMC, or GPIB interfaces. A user interface, API library, and SCPI command language set provide seamless implementation into existing test environments.
