CSI Announces Financial Literacy Workshops at Elgin Campus
Elgin, Illinois (PRWEB) April 16, 2015 -- Computer Systems Institute (CSI) has announced a new series of financial literacy workshops, which will be hosted at the school’s Elgin campus on Thursday, April 16. The event will be comprised of two sessions in Lab C, held at 12pm and 6pm.
Tailored for current CSI students who aren’t experienced in handling their own finances, the workshops will cover frugal spending habits, responsible credit card use, student loan repayment, and other important financial skills. The institute’s financial aid staff will also cover identity theft protection, credit repair, and long-term money management. The program is designed to help young adults transition into a life of self-sufficiency and responsible spending. These workshops are also open to the general public, and admission is free.
Following the lectures, there will be a Q&A session for attendees to ask specific questions about their own economic concerns. CSI encourages attendees to fill out a subsequent financial survey to see what they have learned. In addition, the program will provide CSI Bucks to visitors, which can be redeemed at any CSI campus. Located in Kane County just off Interstate 90, CSI’s Elgin campus is situated in one of Chicago’s fastest growing suburbs, only about an hour from the city center. Prospective students will find a relaxed environment for academics in Elgin, a town with four historic districts and beautiful Victorian homes.
