CSI Holds Financial Literacy Workshops at Elgin Campus
Elgin, IL (PRWEB) September 24, 2014 -- Computer Systems Institute (CSI) has announced its latest series of financial literacy workshops, which will be hosted at the school’s Elgin campus on Thursday, September 25. The event will be comprised of two sessions in Lab C, held at 12pm and 6pm.
Designed to assist current CSI students, the financial literacy workshops will cover student loan repayment, smart day-to-day spending, identity theft protection, and proper use of credit cards, among other valuable financial skills. General money management and credit repair will also be covered.
The program is primarily tailored to young adults who are not experienced in finance or self-sufficiency as they transition to adulthood. In addition, the financial literacy workshops will be open to the general public, and admission is free.
In a subsequent Q&A session, each attendee will have an opportunity to seek advice specific to their economic situation, gauge their progress with a survey, and earn CSI Bucks for redemption at one of CSI’s campuses. CSI hopes the educational sessions will benefit the local community and empower students to attain financial independence.
