CSI to Host Thanksgiving Fest With Food, Turkey Bowling, and Prizes on Nov. 26
CHICAGO, Ill. (PRWEB) November 25, 2014 -- Computer Systems Institute is giving students a morale boost and a chance to get into the holiday spirit by putting on a Thanksgiving Fest, which will offer students a holiday meal, along with diversions such as music, games, and an opportunity to win giveaway prizes. CSI’s Thanksgiving Fest will take place on Nov. 26, one day before the actual Thanksgiving holiday, at the Chicago CSI campus, which is located at 29 E. Madison St.; to accommodate the schedules of students who want to attend, CSI has scheduled the event to run from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m. In addition to enjoying various Thanksgiving dishes, students who attend the event will be able to try traditional holiday games, such as turkey bowling, which is bowling that uses a frozen turkey to knock down real or makeshift pins; other games will also be set up on the third floor of the building. During the event, students will also have the chance to enter a raffle to win prizes; over the course of the day, CSI will give away free dinners to six student winners.
Outside of the holiday season, CSI hosts a number of special events that are designed to help students succeed, personally and professionally; many of the events help students make personal connections or develop skills that are essential to their eventual careers. Past events have included seminars that teach students about basic financial concepts and strategies for effectively managing their own finances; career events where students can network with various prospective employers; screenings to help students protect their health through early detection of potential problems; and various career services events, which let students practice and prepare for job interviews and other post-graduation hurdles. Outside of these special events, CSI helps students succeed with various special services that are available outside of class, from assistance with resume writing to advice on developing a networking strategy.
