CTL Partners with Google to Offer their Most Powerful & Cost Effective Chromebook for Education to Date

The CTL® Chromebook J2 and CTL® Chromebook J4 models were announced today from CTL’s headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. Both the J2 and J4 are among the first Chromebooks to include the Quad Core ARM Cortex-A17 RK3288 processor made by Rockchip. This high performance dedicated 2D processor supports up to 3840 x 2160 HDMI 2.0 display output. The CTL Chromebook J2 features 2GB of RAM, while the J4 model features 4GB of RAM. Both models have a sleek, lightweight, rugged design that can withstand the rigors of demanding education environments.

The CTL Chromebook J2 and J4 are available with a 3-year warranty with accidental damage coverage. With a host of available services such as White Glove provisioning and full color logo painting, these new Chromebooks for Education are backed by the enterprise class service and support that CTL customers have come to expect. CTL Chromebook J2 and J4 models will include one year of Securly content filtering and analysis, allowing schools and parents to easily set automatic website and app filtering policies. In addition, they can be bundled for educators with Chrome Device Management licences, Hapara licenses, and Pearson Education Software and eTextbooks.

Education pricing for the CTL Chromebook J2 starts at $179.00. However, educators will be able to purchase a special package bundled with a Chrome Device Management license for just $199.00. Education pricing for the CTL Chromebook J4 starts at $209 with the Chrome Device Management license education bundle starting at $229. Besides RAM, the specs for the J2 and J4 models are the same. The CTL Chromebooks J2 and J4 will feature an 11.6 inch anti-glare HD display of 1366 x 768 pixels, 16GB of eMMC solid state storage (with optional Google Drive cloud storage) and a 1.3 MP webcam.
