Newton, KS (PRWEB) October 29, 2013 -- Twilya L’Ecuyer, owner of C.U.R.E. Group Consulting is a sponsor for the Farming as if People Matter: How to Feed Ourselves, Build New Farms and Adapt to a Changing World conference, to be held in Newton, Kansas on November 2, 2013.
The Farming as if People Matter: How to Feed Ourselves, Build New Farms and Adapt to a Changing World conference hosted by the Kansas Rural Center will focus on providing Kansas Farmers and Ranchers with information, resources and perspective on the changing landscape of agriculture. The format of the conference provides for multiple tracks on a variety of timely topics impacting Kansas agriculture. Conference tracks will include: Farm Transitioning, Farm Management, Local Food Marketing, Community Food Solutions, and Food & Farming Policy. The conference is set for November 2, 201 at the Meridian Center in Newton, Kansas.
C.U.R.E. (Creating Urban & Rural Excellence) Group works with farms, businesses and communities to achieve improved results through strategic planning, leadership development, total quality management. L’Ecuyer is case facilitator certified through the Kansas Leadership Center of Wichita, KS. L’Ecuyer is Innermetrix certified through Resource Associates Corporation of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. She is also Total Quality Management certified through the Total Quality Institute also of Wyomissing.
Additionally, L’Ecuyer owns L’Ecuyer Gardens, a small produce farm and greenhouse located in Morrowville Kansas. L’Ecuyer also worked with a cluster of growers in a five county area in north central Kansas to form the North Central Kansas Specialty Corp Project to help special group farmers in the region scale up their farms to for large-scale production. The project operated from 2009 the 2012 and helped facilitate the creation of multiple farmers markets and a local-foods retail outlet as well as create jobs through entrepreneurship.
