The Woodlands, Texas (PRWEB) November 23, 2015 -- Customer Marketing Group, Inc. (CMG) announced today that Tim Bennett has joined the organization as Principal. This exciting new relationship reflects CMG’s continued commitment to growth and its success in driving real change in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
"I could not be more excited about Tim joining CMG,” said Stew Bishop, President and CEO. “Beyond the fact that CMG obviously needs to expand its footprint with regional client support in the Midwest through his extensive, carefully constructed network, Tim brings very significant experience not only in the CPG Industry but focused skills with Trade Fund Management, the very area that the majority of our new and current clients are looking for us to focus our deliverable. Abilities in this key area are waning these days, so experience like Tim's is hard to find and precious to possess. Tim 'gets it,' that effective business management cannot be accomplished merely by adding a system but rather through human beings making effective decisions with those tools in their hands. I am proud and pleased that Tim has made this move."
With nearly 40 years of experience in consumer goods, Bennett has worked across all channels of trade to dramatically increase sales organization effectiveness and improve ROI for both manufacturers and retailers. His leadership experience spans from launching a start-up to managing multi-million dollar businesses and securing double-digit growth trajectories at Paris Presents, Papyrus-Recycled Greetings, Fellowes, Quaker Oats and Crossmark. As a Principal at CMG, Bennett will be based in Chicago, Illinois where he will manage client relationships and have responsibility for building CMG’s business in the CPG community.
“I have watched Stew Bishop and CMG build a dynamic and value-driven business for many years,” said Bennett. "Our business principles and philosophies are well aligned, and I am excited to have the opportunity to be a contributing member of its growth going forward.”
Bennett began his career in CPG with seven years as a food broker followed by fourteen years of sales and marketing experience at the Quaker Oats Company. He then ventured into health and beauty as Vice President, Sales at Alberto-Culver, followed by co-founding the FóRMULA LATINA™ hair care brand in partnership with JossClaude Stylists of Mexico City. Since then, he has held several executive sales positions including Vice President, Sales at Paris Presents Incorporated, Executive Vice President, Sales at Papyrus Recycled Greetings, Vice President Retail Sales at Fellowes, and most recently Vice President of Crossmark Drug.
