Cuvette Retailer Opens Repair Shop for Damaged Calibration Standards
Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) July 12, 2016 -- Featuring a full product listing of photometric accuracy, wavelength accuracy, stray light, spectral bandwidth and fluorescence standards, FireflySci’s Cuvette Shop is a leading manufacturer of standards for calibration spectrophotometers, fluorometers and microplate readers. For years, FireflySci has offered recalibration of its own standards and those of other manufacturers in the field at competitive prices and of the highest quality. Now, for the first, time, FireflySci has added additional options for customers with damaged filters in the form of its new repair shop.
If in the course of using a FireflySci standard, the standard gets damaged, customers can send them in for a complementary inspection and 1 point verification scan. The FireflySci Cuvette Shop’s calibration engineers will go over the customer’s filter with a special inspection microscope and if everything looks good, will scan one photometric data point. If the filter passes, FireflySci will produce an updated Certificate of Calibration. This entire service is offered by the company with no charge except for the cost of shipping.
If the filter fails, the FireflySci Cuvette Shop will send a report including an explanation of the damage and a photograph. The customer can then take one of two options: i) a cleaning service or ii) a full recalibration service.
The cleaning service ranges from $95-125 and includes repair stemming from common customer user mishaps such as fingerprints, smudges, dust, dirt and other liquid contaminants on the optical surfaces of the filters. FireflySci’s Cuvette Shop engineers will do a full visual inspection, a cold plasma cleaning, a scan of 1 wavelength or photometric data point and an updated Certificate of Calibration.
The second option is a state-of-the-art full recalibration ranging from $265-$365 based solely on NIST’s methodology, which will include a full visual inspection, a cold plasma cleaning (if deemed necessary), a rescan of every wavelength included on the original Certificate of Calibration and a revised certificate.
As it does with every cuvette it produces, FireflySci includes a guarantee of quality with every standard produced and every recalibration or repair performed.
