Cyber Academy of South Carolina Celebrates National School Choice Week; Opens New Learning Center in Greenville, SC
Greenville, SC (PRWEB) January 23, 2014 -- Cyber Academy of South Carolina (CASC), a full-time, tuition-free online public school option for students in South Carolina, announced today that the school will take part in National School Choice Week 2014, an initiative designed to shine a positive spotlight on the need for effective education options for all children. To mark the occasion, CASC will open a new regional Learning Center, where students grades K-9* will have access to a blended learning environment and be able to engage in small groups or personal tutoring with teachers to supplement their online work.
The new CASC Learning Center is the first of multiple planned Learning Centers in the state. The Greenville Learning Center will be staffed with fully certified CASC teachers and will be outfitted with interactive large screen monitors, laptops, WiFi and course materials. The Center will be open 3-4 days week for at least 3 hours per day and available to those students who wish extra guidance in their lessons.
As part of National School Choice Week, the new CASC Learning Center will host a special Grand Opening event on January 31. Students/families enrolled in the program and members of the community interested in learning more are invited to come take part in fun, hands-on activities that will allow them to interact with the curriculum. All CASC staff will be on hand to provide more information and David Crook, the CASC Head of School, will be available to answer any questions.
