Cyber Security Startup Automox Announces Record Growth in Year of Record Data Breaches

Lapses in security and patch management created wide-spread security issues in 2017 for companies like Verizon, Xbox, Gmail, DocuSign, Equifax, Uber and dozens of other enterprises. A flaw in Apple’s MacOS High Sierra release created massive root access vulnerabilities among millions of Mac users before Apple quickly released a patch.
One customer, Inside Track, credits Automox with helping them protect their network of 250 remote workers from the Apple MacOS bug. “Automox gave us the ability to see which endpoints were vulnerable and allowed us to automatically deploy the patch to those workstations,” stated Chris Borte, Director of IT and DevOps for Inside Track. “And because Automox supports Windows, Mac and Linux, I didn’t need a separate solution for Mac.
