Cynthia Walters Joins National Lutheran Communities & Services as Chief Operating Officer
Rockville, MD (PRWEB) October 12, 2016 -- Cynthia Walters has joined National Lutheran Communities & Services (NLCS) as Chief Operating Officer (COO), a newly appointed role for NLCS. Walters brings over 28 years of senior living experience to this new position.
“The COO is a new role for NLCS and comes at a critical time in our growth,” President & CEO Larry Bradshaw said. “As we seek to strategically grow and diversify, we have an enhanced focus on operating as a senior-living system and leveraging the benefits and efficiencies associated with that. Cynthia Walters brings extensive experience in this area and will help us continue to build upon our 125-year legacy of serving seniors.”
Walters, who transitioned from a consultant to employee, is pleased to accept this new opportunity.
“As a consultant, I’ve been fortunate to be a part of the tremendous growth in both community and service expansion at NLCS,” Walters said. “Now, as the Chief Operating Officer, I am delighted to become part of NLCS’ senior leadership team and help facilitate that growth as an employee.”
Walters’s background is concentrated in new program development, as well as operational performance improvement and re-engineering of systems and processes within senior living organizations. Most recently she was the President and Owner of Walters Advisors, LLC, providing project management and advisory services to various senior living organizations. Prior to that, she spent 19 years at KPMG, seven of which were spent as a partner and leader of their National Senior Living Advisory Practice. Walters also spent five years at Presbyterian Senior Living in Dillsburg, Pa., as Vice President of Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) and Vice President of Operations Systems Development and Integration.
