Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel Employees Present $4,301 Donation To Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank
Charenton, La (PRWEB) December 09, 2016 -- Employees at Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel presented a $4,301 donation to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank in an effort to provide relief to those who continue to feel the effects of the historic flood during this holiday season. Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel employees raised the funds through flood relief t-shirt sales.
“With the holidays approaching, we continue to keep in mind those still recovering from the devastation caused by the historic flood,” said Linda Neezey, Manager of Human Resources at Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel. “Our employees wanted to come together to support our community and we are proud to be able to make this donation,” continued Neezey.
Many people throughout Louisiana are still displaced and recovering from the devastating flood. Despite the flooding of the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank facility, they continued to provide aid to the community and their efforts are ongoing.
“When the August flooding hit South Louisiana, so many of our friends and neighbors were affected. This donation for disaster relief will help us continue to meet the increased needs in our community as a result of the flooding,” said Michael G. Manning, President and CEO of the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.”
Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel and the Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana have donated over $20,000 to assist in flood relief efforts and are proud contributors to several local charities and non-profits for the greater common good of the people of Acadiana.
