Cypress University Returns to Las Vegas with Focus on Cost Containment Strategies for Employee Benefits
Appleton, WI (PRWEB) April 20, 2015 -- Kicking off in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, the two-day Cypress University cost containment conference is now in session for 2015.
Cypress Benefit Administrators, a third party administrator (TPA) based in Appleton, Wisconsin, has played host to this educational event since 2012 with the goal of bringing employer-clients and brokers together with some of the leading experts in the self-funded industry. As in years past, Cypress University will share the latest happenings related to employee benefits and focus on the next-generation tools and solutions designed to help control costs, target wellness and maximize efficiencies.
Tom Doney, president and CEO of Cypress, explained, “Since it started, Cypress University has really become a signature event for us as a TPA.” He added, “Our clients are at a point where they anticipate its return each year and they are actively involved in shaping the content we cover.”
For 2015, the individual topics to be featured in breakout sessions at Cypress University include:
• Controlling prescription costs
• The captive insurance option
• Managing Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) costs
• Innovations in on-site and near-site medical
• Pricing and quality transparency in health care
• Patient advocacy and navigating care options
• Online enrollment and private exchange options
In addition to all of the sessions focused on self-funding strategies, Cypress University will include a new “Real Success” panel that will feature Cypress partners – and past presenters – who will share the results they’ve realized in cost savings and quality improvements on behalf of Cypress clients.
Some attendee favorites will also return to the two-day conference line-up. These include interactive Cypress client and stop loss panels as well as a networking lunch where attendees are encouraged to connect with speakers.
“We’ve listened to what past attendees have valued the most at Cypress University and made sure to incorporate those elements again,” Doney explained. “It’s definitely a mix of new topics, too, along with the self-funding issues that are affecting clients across the board in their everyday operations.”
A privately held company headquartered in Appleton, Wis., Cypress Benefit Administrators has been pioneering the way toward cost containment in self-funded health benefits since 2000. The third party administrator (TPA) is the country’s first to bring claims administration, consumer driven health plans and proven cost control measures together into one package for companies ranging from 50 employees to thousands of employees. It serves employer-clients across the U.S. with additional locations in Portland and Salem, Ore., Omaha, Neb. and Denver, Col.
