CyraCom Opens Tucson Downtown Office
Tucson, AZ (PRWEB) September 11, 2013 -- CyraCom International, Inc., a language services company founded and based in Tucson, AZ, recently opened a new Business Development office in the downtown Tucson area.
CyraCom’s downtown offices are located at 100 South Stone Avenue in the historic Pioneer Building. CyraCom employs nearly 1,000 people in Arizona, 500 of which are based in Tucson, and has been ranked as the 2nd fastest-growing job creator in Southern Arizona in 2011 and the 6th in 2012 by the Arizona Daily Star. CyraCom’s other Tucson facilities include a corporate office at 5780 N. Swan Road and an interpreter contact center on Elvira Road near the Tucson Airport.
“Downtown Tucson is currently undergoing a transformation and, as a large, Tucson-based business, it makes sense for CyraCom to participate,” said Chris Liebner, manager of the business development team residing in the downtown office.
The Company hires and trains bilingual people in the United States to become professional interpreters and has three contact centers – one of which is in Tucson. CyraCom International, Inc. primarily offers Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) and is the second largest provider of OPI in the world. OPI is a three-way call between an interpreter, an English-speaking representative, and a non-English speaking customer.

Danielle Scheller, a senior at the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management, is an intern with the business development team at CyraCom. Because of the close proximity of the new location, Danielle has been able to commit to more hours to her internship every week. “The internship program has played an important role in my development as a business professional,” Scheller said.
