Dade Moeller Human Resources Director to Discuss Public Policy on Capitol Hill
RICHLAND, Wash. (PRWEB) November 19, 2014 -- Human Resources Director Roshelle Pavlin will be participating in the 2014 Volunteer Leaders’ Summit Nov. 20–22 in Washington, D.C., at the invitation of the national Society for Human Resource Management.
On Nov. 20, Pavlin will represent Dade Moeller, the hundreds of human resources professionals in the state of Washington, and the society during meetings with U.S. Congressional staff members to discuss public policy issues related to labor standards, fair pay, and safe workplaces. Of particular interest to Pavlin is the impact of pending legislation on federal contractors like Dade Moeller, which provides safety, radiological, and environmental support to several high-visibility, complex federal projects, including those at the Hanford nuclear site.
Pavlin will become Director Elect of the Washington State Human Resources Council in 2015 and Director in 2016.
Pavlin is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources and has been a member of the Washington council since 2011. She currently serves as its Vice President, as well as its Communications Director, and, previously, she was Social Media Manager (2012) and co-Diversity Director (2011). Prior to joining Dade Moeller in July 2011, Pavlin worked near Washington, D.C., and was active in the local Maryland state council of the society. She has Master of Science degrees in both human resources management and education. In addition to her council role, Pavlin is Vice Chair of the American Red Cross Benton-Franklin Chapter board of directors and leads Dade Moeller’s semiannual blood drives.
Pavlin will succeed Richland human resources consulting firm owner Theresa Chow as Director of the Washington State Human Resources Council.
