Dallas CPA Society Brings National Experts Together for Tenth Annual Convergence Conference
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) April 28, 2014 -- On May 8, over 50 national experts in accounting, financial, legal and tax matters will converge in Dallas for Convergence 2014: The 10th Anniversary. The Dallas CPA Society’s annual education conference will focus on issues of current interest to accounting and financial executives. The event will be held on Thursday, May 8 at the InterContinental Dallas Hotel, from 8:00am – 5:00pm, with registration beginning at 7:00am. Dallas Cowboys Football Club Executive Vice President and Chief Brand Officer, Charlotte Jones Anderson, will deliver the luncheon keynote speech, “Philanthropy—A Corporate and Social Perspective,” inspired by her work as chairman of the NFL Foundation and the Salvation Army’s National Advisory Board.
The conference will feature 36 dynamic sessions on a variety of topics, such as estate planning, current accounting legislation, health care reform, fraud, big data and data analytics, nonprofit issues, federal, state and local taxes and much more. It will feature speakers from the Office of the Attorney General for the State of Texas, the Texas Legislature, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and several outstanding firms and companies from Texas and across the country.
The Dallas CPA Society is presenting the Conference in association with the Communities Foundation of Texas, Dallas Bar Association Tax Section, Dallas Estate Planning Council, Financial Executives International (Dallas Chapter), Institute of Internal Auditors (Dallas Chapter), State Bar of Texas Tax Section and Tax Executives Institute (Dallas Chapter).
