The article stated that in the early morning of December 8, 2012, the Dallas nightclub served members of the Dallas Cowboys football team excessive amounts of alcohol just hours before a drunk driving accident claimed the life of Cowboys player Jerry Brown Jr. According to a court affidavit (Dallas County Court, case number: 120028613), the driver is facing vehicular manslaughter charges in connection with the crash.
ABC 8 reported that the TABC will not file formal charges until the conclusion of the related manslaughter trial against the Cowboys teammate behind the wheel at the time of the crash. If charges are brought forth against the nightclub, it could face a fine or have its license to operate suspended or revoked, according to the article.
