Dance Pizazz Announces Release of Sixth Spotlight Series Interview: Meet David Thompson
St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) September 02, 2013 -- Dance Pizazz, the St. Louis area funnest, friendliest dance studio, is proud of its instructors and wants to share their personal and ballroom dance stories. The sixth interview in our ‘Spotlight Series: Meet the Instructor’ features David Thompson. Mr. Thompson is the co-owner of Dance Pizazz (http://www.dance-pizazz.com) and has over a decade of professional dancing experience.
Like many other dance instructors and students, Mr. Thompson started dancing by chance: an ad promoting the health and social benefits of ballroom dance, specifically for men, intrigued him. At the time, Mr. Thompson was seeking a new and unexpected challenge that would help him manage the daily stress of a demanding work schedule, all while raising three young children. He was particularly concerned with how his work persona was affecting his parenting. Motivated to be a better father and seeking a healthy outlet for not only stress but also his innate creativity, Mr. Thompson started taking ballroom dance lessons.
As his dancing knowledge grew, Mr. Thompson started to experience something he hadn’t in a long time: fun! Through his growth as a dance student, Mr. Thompson found a new passion that changed his outlook on life, work, and parenting. He soon started competing at various levels for both American Rhythm and Smooth Styles, all while having a fun time. He soon realized he wanted to help others have fun as well and became an instructor.
Through his dancing journey, Mr. Thompson learned that all dancers should trust their instincts. He believes that ballroom dance should be a challenging yet enjoyable ride. He’s inspired many -including one of his sons, now a dance instructor himself- to use dance as a form of expression to help them achieve balance in their lives.
