Dare County Education and Government Programming Organization Launches New Website and Brand - CURRENTtv

Current TV is a Dare County organization that produces educational and government programming for Dare County residents and visitors that features local news, town government updates and environmental information. Current TV is a collaboration to provide quality informational programming through two channels, the Current TV Government and the Current TV Education. It is supported by the towns of the Outer Banks, NC, including the towns of Duck, Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head and Manteo, as well as Dare County Government, Dare County Schools, UNC Coastal Studies Institute and College of The Albemarle.
Dare County requested a website that could host their large and growing collection of educational and government on demand videos and offer live streams of their two channels. Their goal was to offer a website that was easy for users to view and access across multiple devices with quick load times. OBX Media took CURRENT TV’s initial ideas and built out a website that aligned with their current branding and offered straightforward navigation options. CURRENT TV’s Video on Demand section allows users to easily view past Dare County videos by category and through the search bar. The Watch Live page offers a live stream of the educational and government channels for users to watch anytime and anywhere.
“We were able to integrate a custom solution that allowed the client’s current video platform to stay in place and seamlessly exist in the new site. This way the client can be in charge and manage the uploading of their videos and live stream without having to go into the backend of the website,” said C.K.
