Datalogic introduces the DL-Axist PDA

The DL-Axist PDA is a robust, industrial-strength handheld computer with a brilliant full touch 5” HD display and advanced 2D imager. It is ideal for retail applications such as assisted sales, merchandising, stock management, field force for outside the four walls use or as a Manager’s device. This industrial PDA has a Corning Gorilla® Glass 3 touch screen display for longevity in harsh environments. An optional rubber boot is also available for an added layer of protection.
The DL-Axist PDA includes Datalogic SoftSpot™ proprietary technology, a user-definable ‘floating soft trigger’ that can be located at the most comfortable position anywhere on the large touch display. SoftSpot technology can be used to activate a myriad of user-defined functions. A Software Development Kit (SDK) is available giving developers full access to the power, control, and features of SoftSpot technology.

This feature-rich device is the first in the industry to have MIMO technology for superior throughput and coverage from its Cisco CCXv4 certified 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi radio. Outside the four walls, the 3G/4G cellular radio delivers voice and data communication. Also included are Bluetooth® Wireless Technology (v4 with BLE for beacons), NFC for quick and easy configuration and pairing, and Datalogic’s patented ‘Green Spot’ technology, for good-read scanning feedback. Its IP67 rating, and its 1.8m / 6.0 ft. drop to concrete rating with the rubber boot, delivers investment protection.
The versatile DL-Axist PDA works in varied vertical markets such as: Retail for customer assistance, pricing, stock management and mobile POS; Transportation & Logistics for route accounting, direct store delivery and workforce management; Healthcare for bedside care and pharmacy inventory.
