David Bohn (Redding, CT) and Preferred Utilities Give Back to the Community
Danbury, CT (PRWEB) January 15, 2015 -- David Bohn (Redding, CT) considers it an honor and a privilege to give back to his local community. As the President and CEO of Preferred Utilities Manufacturing Corporation, Mr. Bohn uses his position to support local charities and community events.
This past Christmas, Mr. Bohn and Preferred Utilities sponsored the Danbury Music Centre's presentation of Handel's Messiah. Hosted at the First Congressional Church in downtown Danbury, local residents were treated to classical Christmas music performed by a live orchestra and choir.
Serving the community with music since 1935, the Danbury Music Centre shares a unique history with Preferred Utilities (1920). Both have been fixtures in the Danbury community for decades. And even though Mr. Bohn is the President and CEO of a manufacturing corporation, he firmly believes in the sharing of art and culture. Mr. Bohn fell in love with fine arts during his years at Hamilton College.
Because of his educational background, Mr. Bohn is also active in the Children's Educational Opportunity Foundation of Connecticut (CEO). The goal of the CEO is "to give children of Connecticut equal access to the quality of education of their choice by providing scholarships to children in low-income households."
Mr. Bohn believes that the CEO Foundation uniquely offers children an important educational opportunity, regardless of their economic standing. It is Mr. Bohn's hope that by investing in equal education opportunities, the children of today will become the leaders of tomorrow.
