David Muntz, Former ONC Principal Deputy, to Deliver Keynote Presentation at Corepoint Connect 2016
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) July 31, 2016 -- David Muntz, a healthcare leader who has worked to bring healthcare into the digital age, will speak at Corepoint Health’s annual user conference, Oct. 12-14, in Frisco, Texas. Muntz, who currently consults with health systems and vendors, has influenced healthcare technology in a variety of leadership roles, including principal deputy at the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), CIO at both Baylor Health and Texas Health Resources, and CIO at GetWellNetwork.
Corepoint Connect 2016 will be held at The Westin Stonebriar Hotel and Golf Club and is attended primarily by healthcare information technology professionals interested in connecting health data between IT applications and systems. The conference will include training sessions on Corepoint Integration Engine, healthcare’s leading interoperability software, and will feature presentations from attendees who have achieved interoperability success using Corepoint at their organization.
Mr. Muntz played a role in shaping the nation’s Meaningful Use objectives, a term associated with The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 that encourages healthcare providers to use electronic health records, and is keenly aware of the importance of data sharing between providers to improve patient care. He will speak about how hospitals and clinics are beginning to reap the rewards of health data interoperability.
"The key to the future lies in combining people, processes, and technologies to ensure that the right data for the right patient appears at the right time, in the right location, in the right format, and for the right reasons to deliver the right care," Muntz said. "The people who have architected and provide Corepoint Integration Engine, and the people who are using the product, are essential players in making these rights work for the patients and the families in our communities. It’s an honor to be able to engage in a dialog about the importance of their work."
Sonal Patel, Corepoint Health’s Vice President of Client Services, said she is looking forward to seeing how Mr. Muntz’s thoughts on health data interoperability will resonate with Corepoint Health customers.
“Corepoint Health customers are typically ahead of the curve in terms of innovation and interoperability. I’m interested to see how closely Mr. Muntz’s vision for healthcare aligns with the examples of real-world connected care our customers will discuss at the conference,” she said. “I anticipate that Corepoint users will feel integral to the connected healthcare community and find ways to leverage their role toward the future of interoperability.”
Dan Simenc, Corepoint Health’s Vice President of Sales, is excited to introduce Mr. Muntz to Corepoint Health customers.
“David can connect the dots between the intent of the government’s Meaningful Use objectives and how that vision is becoming a reality as hospitals, clinics, and vendors are realizing the value of strategic interoperability,” Simenc said.
