Dawn Alba, In-House General Counsel of Engineered Tax Services, is Honored as Recipient of the “Top General Counsel” Award
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) September 16, 2017 -- Engineered Tax Services’ (ETS) In-House General Counsel, Dawn Alba, recently attended the 2017 First Chair Awards where she received her award for being one of the Top General Counsel of 2017. This was a major honor for Dawn and for ETS.
“I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to meet with such accomplished colleagues from around the country,” said Dawn.
The First Chair Awards is an annual celebration and award ceremony for in-house counsel who have excelled, through their hard work and dedication, and made significant contributions to the legal community. The First Chair Awards honors the top in-house counsel for their accomplishments in 2017. This year, there were 17,000 nominations across the United States for “Top General Counsel” of which there were only approximately 100 recipients.
The First Chair Awards Nomination Committee is made up of attorneys from the United States’ top law firms. These attorneys have been recognized by their peers as leaders in their areas of law practice. The Committee conducts in-depth research of legal departments and in-house lawyers to identify those in-house counsel who go above and beyond in their roles.
The event started out with an elite General Counsel Roundtable and led to an evening of celebration at the First Chair Awards Gala that took place at Chicago’s Montgomery Club.

Dawn is the In-House General Counsel for Engineered Tax Services, but also a well-known person in the West Palm Beach legal community. She is strongly involved in community leadership and philanthropic endeavors including helping raise money for muscular dystrophy, fighting for animal rights – especially retired racing greyhounds - and raising money for other charitable organizations. She has also served as a Guardian Ad Litem for the 15th Judicial Circuit where she represented the rights of children placed in the foster care system. She knows just about everyone in the community and always has a positive attitude as well as a passion for law.
