Dawn Hocevar named president and CEO of CURE
NEW HAVEN, Conn., Oct. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- CURE announced today that Dawn Hocevar is the organization's new president and CEO, effective October 16, 2017. Ms. Hovecar is a resident of Branford, CT.
Most recently she has been Vice President, Business Development at BioSurplus Inc., as well as President and Board Chair of Women in Bio, a leading non-profit with 13 chapters and 2000 members.
As previously announced, Dr. Susan Froshauer is stepping down as head of CURE after four years in office.

Dawn Hocevar is 2017 President and Board Chair of Women In Bio. She spent the last five years in various roles with Women In Bio, including fundraising, serving as national program chair, and helping establish Women In Bio's Boardroom Ready program.
In her most recent role as Vice President, Business Development at BioSurplus, she worked closely with BIO and affiliates across the country, helping to grow vendor programs and membership. She seeded and built business platforms in San Francisco as well as Boston and the New England area, including Connecticut.
Ms. Hovecar gained experience in distribution, sales, management, and marketing during 20 years working with Fisher Scientific. She obtained her BS in Microbiology and Chemistry from San Jose State University and worked at Stanford University for six years prior to joining Fisher Scientific.
