DCSoftware Announces ARCTOOLS® Version 8 Purging and Archiving Software

ARCTOOLS, a leading data purging and archiving tool, allows customers to lower database management costs, reduce business and compliance risks, and deliver safer and quicker upgrades. ARCTOOLS also drives operational efficiency by improving server performance for ERP and other data-intensive applications.
Version 8 of ARCTOOLS builds on the success of version 7 by porting the tools and methodologies from the IBM i platform to a new Windows-based user interface, and adds access to other platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases. The tool provides an easy-to-use interface and multiple features to execute the archive and purge in a safe, controllable and restartable manner. Archive jobs can be run during the day, without locking tables, and a critically important 'throttle' feature allows the throughput of the archive jobs to be controlled in order to manage server performance and high availability (mirroring) backlogs.
