BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Oct. 30, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The new 2018 Toyota Tundra has come to Serra Toyota in Birmingham, Alabama. This new model year of the popular truck has been redesigned and upgraded for 2018. The new generation of the Tundra is muscular, athletic and seriously stylish.  

One of the biggest changes for this model year is the addition of standard Toyota Safety Sense™ P (TSS-P) for all models. This suite of advanced active safety technologies includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD), Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA) and Automatic High Beams (AHB). Certain models will also come equipped with standard Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA). The available Intelligent Clearance Sonar (ICS) also includes a new Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB) system. 

Another huge upgrade for the 2018 model year is the introduction of the new 2018 Toyota Tundra TRD Sport model grade. This model will be available in 4×4 and 4×2 CrewMax and Double Cab configurations and will be powered by a 381-horsepower 5.7-liter i-Force V8 engine. Driving performance will be enhanced with the addition of TRD Sport Tuned Bilstein Shocks and TRD front and rear anti-sway bars.
