Deck the Halls with Business Solutions - An Exciting New Initiative Looks To Help Emerging Businesses Stick to Their New Year’s Resolutions To Optimize and Grow
New York, NY (PRWEB) December 16, 2015 -- The New Year is notorious as a time for making and breaking personal resolutions. It is no different when it comes to resolutions to grow your business or trim some of its fat.
Beginning Wednesday, December 16th, and running through the 29th, business professionals from divergent fields will gather for networking and merry making. But this is no mere corporate holiday party. The BRC will host a series of networking events, presenting business leaders who will share success strategies, solutions, as well as revenue growth options with New York’s most promising business professionals.
The BRC formally opens its doors this week. Each of the holiday gatherings are from 7PM to 10PM and require RSVP as follows: Wednesday 12/16/15-Business Optimization and Networking Party, Thursday 12/17/15-Meet and Greet Holiday Open House, Friday 12/18/15-Fashion Professionals Networking Party and Showcase. The BRC will continue its holiday hosting from 12/19/15 to 12/28/15 where individuals can schedule appointments to interview the founders or receive a complimentary strategy and/or legal consultation.
The BRC is a refreshing platform for elevating and enhancing prospects for new and emerging businesses. It is an innovative combination of the incubator and co-working business models, creating a fully integrated hub for emerging companies and charitable organizations. BRC provides services to a diverse range of professionals. It supports emerging businesses by providing office space, staffing, administrative, strategic planning, marketing, PR, advertising and legal solutions. The BRC currently supports the following sectors: fashion, media, publishing, tech and inventors, construction and development, and legal professionals.
Because the BRC is comprised of several sectors, each division is a microcosm of what the BRC means for each industry it serves. As an example, BRC-Legal provides business development support and office space to attorneys seeking to launch or re-launch their careers. It also offers a unique opportunity to explore various practice areas with the confidence of on-site legal coaches and mentors.
“There is a real concern about the lack of employment opportunities for recent law school graduates and for attorneys who want to try a new practice area. There’s also a concern about the affordability of legal services. The BRC has an answer for that. In fact, we believe it IS the answer for these questions of employment, business sustainability and growth. And this is not restricted to the legal community. Our entire economy is integrated and at the BRC, we get that”, said co-founder, Nzengha Waseme, Esq.
The idea to form the BRC crystallized when Nzengha Waseme and Jeremy Stennett met in 2013 at a charity fundraiser. Both were being recognized for their individual contributions to the charity—Stennett as a youth educator, Waseme as a member of the advisory committee. The conversation continued and the duo found a common passion in providing resources to assist emerging businesses at crucial junctures of their growth. With Waseme’s experience as a non-profit and business law attorney, and Stennett’s skills in marketing and strategy, that evening, the roots of the BRC’s philanthropic mission were firmly planted, quite serendipitously, at a charity fundraiser.
Waseme has served on legal teams with notable celebrity activists and business people, including music legend B.B. King, iconic attorney/activist Gregory Reed, the Frank Lucas Foundation, as well as consulted with them in their charitable endeavors, such as the Carol Maraj Foundation. She has served on boards of community organizations such as the Bedstuy Legal Services Corp., that provide legal services for low-income families, support women empowerment initiatives and domestic violence shelters. She currently serves on the advisory committee of World of Money, an organization that teaches entrepreneurship, wealth-building and financial literacy to youth in the metro area. She is the principal attorney for the Waseme Associates law firm, which she founded in 2007.
Prior to launching the Lifestyle Agency, a public relations and communications firm, Stennett flexed his marketing and strategy muscles for more than a decade working on accounts that include Fortune 500 brands such as Tylenol, Neutrogena, McDonalds, Hertz, Marvin and Benjamin Moore. Earlier in his career, Stennett cut his teeth in the publishing industry while working with Essence Magazine and the launching of Latina Magazine. Stennett, known for his affable and fast-paced demeanor, founded The Lifestyle Agency in 2006. He maintains commitments to several charitable organizations that he helped to found, and currently serves as a youth educator, presenter and consultant for non-profits such as World of Money, Project Thunder and the Defeat Diabetes Foundation.
BRC-NY’s inaugural holiday mixer begins at 7pm on December 16, 2015, and will include wine and hor d’oeuvres, followed by round table discussions. It culminates with talks by keynote speaker Glen Ramsay, CEO and founder of business coaching not-for-profit website, http://www.inspirenexus.com; Lynn Hobson, former music industry publicist, success coach to realty show stars, and author of her new Diary of a HIP-HOP Publicist; April S. Watson, producer of cable reality show NY’S Women to Women, available on Verizon, Comcast and Dish Network; and best selling author and scenarist, Sonovia Alexander, among others.
The festivities will be held at the BRC-NY headquarters in the Paramount Plaza building, located at 1633 Broadway. RSVP is required: events(at)brcnewyork(dot)com. For more information on the BRC-NY mission, visit their website at http://www.brcnewyork.com.
