Decosimo Welcomes Eric Myers & Becky Shoemake as Tax Managers With Accounting Firm
Chattanooga, Tenn. (PRWEB) February 14, 2014 -- Decosimo, a Top 100 regional public accounting and advisory firm, is pleased to welcome Eric Myers and Becky Shoemake as tax managers assigned to the firm’s Chattanooga and Knoxville offices.
Dividing his time between Decosimo’s offices in Chattanooga and Knoxville, Mr. Myers will be focusing his efforts with clients in construction, manufacturing and distribution, real estate, energy along with other industries. Mr. Myers specializes in working with closely-held businesses and their owners as well as companies owned through private equity groups. At Decosimo, he will be involved in the tax compliance practice, which includes reviews of partnership, corporate, state, and consolidated tax returns. Mr. Myers has expertise in providing consulting services related to mergers and acquisitions, development and support of multi-state and international tax strategies, Internal Revenue Service and state tax examination support, and tax planning for both businesses and individuals.
Based out of the firm’s Chattanooga office, Ms. Shoemake began her career with Decosimo more than 15 years ago, and she has built a track record of success while serving in various tax-related positions with a number of well-respected organizations. Her experience includes serving as a tax manager with a Chattanooga law firm, overseeing tax compliance filings for individuals, family trusts and private foundations, as well as serving in senior tax accountant positions for publicly-traded transportation and retail development companies.

Mr. Myers is a summa cum laude graduate from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and he also earned his Master of Accounting at Tennessee with a concentration in tax. A licensed CPA in the state of Tennessee, Mr. Myers is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Ms. Shoemake earned both her Bachelor of Professional Accountancy and her Master of Taxation from Mississippi State University. A licensed CPA in the state of Tennessee, Ms. Shoemake is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Chattanooga Tax Practitioners.
